Sports and Health Week 2014

Sports and Health Week 2014

Hello Everyone!

We held a fantastic Sports and Health week during the week beginning 23rd of June 2014. Everyone in school had a fantastic time as we spent the week dancing, climbing, juggling and pretending to be Robin Hood on the archery range.

There were loads of activities for us to take part in during the week including a climbing wall, archery tent, circus skills sessions, futurestars competitions and all kinds of other fantastic events.

The previous week saw our sports achievement assembly where we awarded some of our superstars with special prizes. Well done to all the children who received an award and congratulations to our outgoing Sports Ambassadors, Paige and Hayden and our new Ambassadors, Shakiel and Katie.

The week concluded with our Sports days which were as successful as ever. The Key Stage 1 sports day went really well in it's new format and the children and parents had  fantastic afternoon. The weather just held off for the Key Stage 2 sports day on Friday which turned into the closest competition we have ever had with only 19 points separating the 4 houses with Wilsons becoming the new Sports Day champions!

Thank you so much to all the people who came into school to help us out during the week. We definitely couldn't have staged such a wonderful week for the children without you.

Here are some of the children's thoughts about the week:
